Earlier today we arrived in Duesseldorf, Germany, and immediately hopped on the train to Koeln, Germany. After exploring the town for a while, we decided to catch some much needed Z's. After sleeping for a while, we set out to explore the town a bit more. We read that there is a special beer brewed in the city called "koelsch", a lightly colored refreshing beer. We went to 2 differnt breweries to try it (there are 24 different breweries that specialize in it in the city), and then we explored the city a bit more. There is a rich Roman history here - they're still excavating Roman ruins - which was interesting to see.
Today we're going to a Roman-German history museum, which should be pretty interesting. I'll try to get pictures online ASAP, but it could be a couple days. The wifi is down at the hostel, and that's what we were relying on for picture uploading. We'll see though - check back soon, I'll be updating the blog again tonight!
